Long concrete road in Newdigate, Surrey

Our specialist groundwork team was hired to construct this 520m x 3m single-lane concrete thoroughfare in Newdigate, Surrey. The project included site preparation, sub-base application, formwork, concrete pouring and surface finishing. We poured the road in sections over 20 days.

A high quality, substantial permanent concrete road structure like this has a long lifespan and can withstand heavy loads without developing ruts or potholes.

As professional concrete handlers we knew how to select the correct concrete mix for the environment and load and managed the pouring and curing process to prevent shrinkage and cracking. The result is a dense, strong and highly durable slab with a uniform thickness.
